New Rotors

I have a 2012 F-150 FX4 that just rolled over 36,000 miles. I have symptoms of a warped rotor (shaking while braking), so I figure I need to replace the rotors and possible the pads. This seems like low miles to require brakes ad rotors.
I can buy NAPA Ultra premium for $80 a rotor and about $40 for the pads. Do you thing NAPA Ultra Premium are worth trying or should I spend more for something else?

I got my 2013 FX4 with just over 18,000 on it and didn't notice the shaking until on the way home with it. Mine seem to only shake at highway speeds. I'm going to order the Power Stop kit for all four wheels soon and be done with the factory BS.

I do a lot of highway and my 2011 has 160k mi with original pads and discs. Seems it shuddered a little the other day from a high speed stop but not bad.
I do my own tire rotations and torque to 150 by hand torque wrench only

Mine started pulsing at 22k, and the dealer turned them free of charge. I tow a 40' gooseneck hitch trailer loaded with rowing shells for the HS Crew team I coach. The trailer load is just below max for my truck. I am sure that that contributed to the warped rotors, and I am surprised I got to 22k.

I put stoptechs with ceramic pads on my 09 with 35" tires. Stops a little better than before it had the bigger tires. I got the drilled and slotted rotors. The holes do get clogged up when I go mudding but that's to be expected.

Well ... I guess I'm the lucky one here. On my 2008 FX4, all I had to do in 97,750 miles was replace my pads ... rotors were still good at that mileage - neither warped nor worn thin. So far, my 2014 has almost 18K miles on it, and it's still smooth as butter. I fully expect it to remain as such for a long time.
And on a similar note, my wife's 2005 Expedition never needed any rotor treatment ... just pads, as was/is to be expected. That was over an 8 year period. Her 2013 Expedition is still smooth as butter too after about 22K miles ...
And I can promise you, while neither my wife nor I abuse our trucks/SUV's, we don't baby them either.

2011 XLT 4x4 5.0 I had 30k on mine when it went to the body shop with great brakes. Came out with the brake pedal pulsing and shudder. Asked if there may be buildup of bondo dust or similar on rotors as a possible cause, and they said probably not. I lived with it until I recently replaced rotors and pads with NAPA gold and found one of the drivers side pistons was siezed. Replaced that also and everything has been peachy for another 10k.

I liked the the way they are designed like the oem's, but feel heavier, and the cooling fins looked thicker.
Which I feel, contributes to their rigidity. I also like the corrosion protection. No more rusty outer edge.
I also noticed I don't have any superficial rusty water spots on them after it sits for a day, if they were wet.
Anyway's I've put around 800 miles on them and all's good.
I swear I feel more stopping power, but that could be in my mind.
I didn't replace the factory pads, because they were hardly worn at all.
If it happens again I'll probably go the route of slotted and see what happens.
I know one thing. On my 2005 I used replacements from AutoZone. 9 years, I put 3 sets of those on. Lifetime warranty, but who cares if I have replace them every 3 or less years.
