New Roll-X or Bak VP Question
I have the F1, great cover. I was thinking about selling the F1 and getting the Roll-X because I like the smooth surface and ease of use.
I do have one question about the possible lines. Can anyone who owns a VP or Roll-X tell me how visible the lines are on the underside seams on the cover, and do they get more visible with use?
See attached picture of what I am talking about.
Thanks you in advance...

From what I have seen with the Roll-X, they are only noticeable after it has been rolled up for awhile. They will be there when you first install it due to shipping rolled up, but they will disappear. I do not have lines anymore on mine.

After installing my VP on monday, I could see the lines, or creases in the vinyl where it had been rolled/flipped up and packaged in the box. The rubber side seals also had some slight distortion to them, but after a day or so in the warm sun, everything seemed to have settled out with both the vinyl top and the rubber side seals.
This afternoon, I had a gentleman park next to me and he was inquiring about what type of cover I had, and commented on how low profile and good looking it was. He had no clue that it was a flip-up cover based on its external appearance.

Here's a picture of it in the sun today, taken just a little while ago. Its extremely dirty, as I was parked in a gravel/limestone parking area yesterday at the sporting clays range with a good amount of cars going by, but I think it'll work for now.
I tried to take it from the same perspective as the above picture, but with the sun out in full force, it was hard to see with the glare on the screen of my phone.

Just to give you some perspective from a new roll-x owner, I didn't have any visible lines or seams on my roll-x even right after installation. It looks great. I've had it on about a week now and the finish is perfectly flat vinyl. Granted, I haven't really rolled mine up yet, but it doesn't seem like a problem.
I also put the truck through a car wash and sprayed the roll-x with direct high pressure water and it didn't leak at all.

My roll-x doesn't crease at all, but mine came with completely f'd up seals, so BAK sent me new ones. Wasn't expecting to have to piece my tonneau cover together myself, but I'll give it a shot since mine wasn't holding water back at all.

Man, that BAK flip VP is a great looking tonneau (as is the roll-x also)
