I am actually located in the Van area. I'm going to speak with the tire shop again today and see where I get. I may take you up on your offer to compare depending on how things go. I'll PM you. Thanks!

I run the ridge grapplers 285 70 17 on my wrangler, and they are def quiet for the tire, and thats on a soft top jeep. Id imagine there would be some noticeable noise coming off the stock tires and remember, you went about an inch wider. Still can't see them being "noisy" for this type of tread pattern, as others have mentioned. Def check the tire pressure, fwiw Im running my jeep tires at 28 psi when the stocks called for 37 psi. good luck let us know how you make out, owned many sets of nits and never had a problem.

I did the chalk test on my ridge grapplers and it was 42 front and 40 rear to get even wear unloaded.

These tires are the quietest true A/T or M/T tire I've used. I've experienced (either owned or an off roading friends who I've ridden on longer trips with) toyo m/t's and a/t's, bfg A/T and M/T, nitto M/T and A/T's and the Ridge grapplers are the quietest, even quite a few of them have mentioned something without me even asking.

They have gotten a little louder in the 14,000 miles I have had them, but still pretty quiet for a rough terrain tire.

I have the same exact setup as the OP. definitely louder than the stock tires but I wouldn't call them loud by any means. slight roar when accelerating but are super quiet once you get past 40 mph. I run mine at about 50 psi and they are wearing perfectly even. Not sure why OP tires would be that loud maybe a tire defect???

Did you do an alignment on after the Bilistein install?

Yes forgot to mention that. I had an alignment done prior to install of the tires.

Update: The tire shop confirmed today that they will replace all 4 tires. The local Nitto rep had never had this issue with the RG's and mentioned that all the feedback he's received is that these tires are very quiet. Drove my truck again today and they howl at 30 mph. Can easily be heard over my radio. Interestingly enough my new tires are on back order so I'm wondering if the ones I got were the last set they had and were not stored properly or something. Who knows, but I'll report back once I get the new tires installed. Could be a few weeks away.

I would give them a 7 out of 10. I think a tire with more sipping would have better traction in the wet. Similar to all aggressive AT's that I've ran.
I will say however, that I am very impressed with the lack of hydroplaning. I've hit some pretty deep water at speed and they are solid.

Blueice do you have any pictures of your wheels/tires? I’m really looking at that very same size and tire. I’m looking to put them on some Fuel Mavericks.

I put the exact same size tires on my stock 20" FX4 rims. Yes they are louder than the stock street tires, but I expected them to be with the rougher tread design. They are not overly loud by any stretch of the imagination. They ride great, perform well in the rain and snow, and I love the look of how they fill up the wheel well.
