Thanks! Gotta think about it like this, functional ram air with real heat extractors def isn't your run of the mill Autozone stick on scoops and vents, so yeah it isn't gonna be cheap! I've been looking at this particular one for a while now and I figured sitting around drooling for months on end is only gonna make me want it more... and continue to get me no where like these past 10 months that I have been watching it! Everything else just looks obnoxious, like nostrils or something, I just figured now was a good time to go ahead and do it before someone else does!

It is a bit loud at times, but I do have magnaflow sido. U might check the threads with afe. Mike at 5 star I believe built a cover for the afe intake that some claim toned it down a little, but u might like it loud. Either way u go, that is gonna b sick w that hood. No doubt.
I don't mind loud sometimes, I bet it would be pretty gnarly sounding with my Flowmaster 40 series and X pipe... I've heard a lot of good things about 5 Star, I believe they're made close to me here in SC so I could prob save a penny pick it up and have him work with me on tunes so I wouldn't have to email him the readings... not real sure about that one though haha. Wouldn't be that big of a pain though just to do it the same way everyone else does... Would you recommend AFE over K&N? I believe they're close to the same price, K&N prob more though cause of the name.

I bet it would sound good. Im not sure where he's at, but it might b a possibility. It would b sweet to work w him personally. Could probably come up w some killer tunes.
I'm not sure on the cai's. I bought airaid cause it's got good reviews and lifetime warranty, and got a great deal from Ajusa. I've heard alot of people not liking k&n with the new fords, not sure bout which engines they had. Several people like the afe, which was my original first choice. Can't remember the warranty info on it though. But mike @ 5 star sells the afe intakes. Oh snap. Here's what u need, since u r about to put that killer hood on. Get the boss intake manifold, afe cai, and sct x3 all from mike @ 5 star. He does package deals, and I bet with that ram air hood and the 3 above mods, u would get some awesome improvements in power, and probably some in mpgs.

The OP should be a politician, as he's doing an outstanding job of dodging the question. "Where did you get it?....lol. Is that a Suncoast Creations hood?

Not real sure how many people are in the market for a factory hood, I'll prob store it at the shop unless someone offers good $$ for it. Not trying to hold back where I got it, I could give 2 s***s if everyone has it but then its only as good as the nostril looking ones that I see everywhere.
