Default "New" PCM Reprogram 13E03B

Had my truck to the dealership for a Synch issue yesterday (I resolved it, not them) and they said there is a "Recall" for 2013s that applied to my Platinum EB (Built April 2013) so I took it in early today and they applied it.

So far have not noticed any differences and it only applies to 2013 EBs. Curious that they called it a recall!?

Anyone have any more info on this 13E03B reprogramming!? Good, bad or otherwise.

Just checked my 2013 and it's not listing any recalls for it. Mine was built in January of 2013.

Jump on the throttle hard a couple of times and let us know if you notice any reduction in engine ooooomph.
And, can you ask your dealer if this was the 13-08-01 TSB that they performed?
Thanks!

took mine in to install rear wheel well liners last week and they told me the same....Recall for 2013 ecoboosts...I specifically asked if it was just a TSB update and was told "No, it is a recall." Seems to run fine, no loss of power compared to my 2011 (only got 500 miles on the '13) lets see if i can attach the pdf of my visit.

If it is a recall for 2013's then all owners will be receiving a letter in mail about this and what the recall is for.

Looks like my truck is not in the recall. I may print that paper out and take the truck in just in case though.

My 2013 FX2 EB falls into this date range for the recall. And my gas mileage after 5k miles has been absolutely abysmal. I probably wouldn't notice, but the 2011 ecoboost I traded in was AT LEAST 3 to 5 miles to the gallon better in all conditions. I took the truck on a long trip this past weekend, and could barely get my 2013 in the 16's for the whole trip. And I babied the thing the whole weekend. I averaged 20 mpg for a 1500 mile trip from Texas to Colorado and back in my 2011 with many miles driving in the mountains.

Yes, I have the 20" wheels vs the 18 inchers, but I don't think that should carry a 5 MPG penalty.

Hoping this re-flash improves my fuel mileage.

Will report back......

Throttle seems to remain strong, but only have 1K miles on vehicle anyway, so may be hard to tell....but had a 2011 EB and it seems equal to that one where the seat meets the cushion.

It was NOT the 13-08-01, according to the service invoice, only the 13E03B which has been added on this thread (thanks).....to address emissions issues.

Will continue to monitor, but all seems well so far....

Just called my dealer and I have an appointment Monday to re-flash the PCM per the emissions recall. He asked for my VIN number and my truck is on the list.

Will report back in a week or two.
