New P rated Duratracs worth considering?

MPG is down just a bit. Before switching the tires, my lifetime average was 16.4. It is now 16.1, which happened after dragging around a tandem axle dump trailer to move dirt (before that, it was 16.3). At 60 mph on blacktops, it still gets 17-20 (hand calculated) depending on stops, hills, wind, etc. Truck mileage is only at 6k, so it may still be improving.
Regarding ride quality, I think I noticed a bigger difference after installing the leveling kit than the tires. Between the two, it rides a little firmer than stock, although I can't really quantify it. Suffice it to say, it's minimal. In fact, if the truck came with the level and tires, I might not have known. Also, I put the tires/level on within 2 months of purchase during the "new love" phase, meaning it may ride exactly the same or nearly the same and I'm just now noticing the truck's true ride characteristics.
Hope it helps - good luck with your decision.

1. Driving at higher speeds, say 70-80 mph - any issues with balancing or steering wheel shake?
2. Did you have the dealer or tire shop adjust the speedo? Dealer is wanting $100 to adjust.
3. Going to a 33'' tire what did you do for your spare? From my research it appears the 1'' difference is enough to cause drive train problems if the spare is needed.

Had the silent armours for 1 year. They wore WAY to fast and were terrible in the snow.
3 years 90,000km now on my durtracs and still at 10/32 all around and I drive a lot of gravel roads.

Remi thanks for the update. That mileage change would certainly be acceptable for me. Three more questions if you don't mind.

2. No. From my understanding, the dealer's only ability to "adjust" is to simply input one of the other factory tire specs (i.e., 275/65/18), which would be the same overall diameter (although I could be wrong about this). Notwithstanding, my speedo ran fast from the factory (higher indicated speed than actually going) and with the bigger tires it seems right on now. When I go past the radar traps that show speed, it's right on.
3. Nothing. I'm banking that I won't get a flat, hopefully it pays off! When I replace again, I will probably keep one of the take-offs for the spare.

I was curious about pictures too! I just leveled mine with a 2" Pro Comp level and just ordered my P275/60R20 Duratracs from Discount tire for $1000.00 out the door. Looking to see what I can expect them to look like with the level. I was afraid they looked too small.

Another ISU Grad here. 09 grad BS Mechanical Engineering.
Love this thread came up. Im about to pull the trigger on some 275/65-20 Dura tracs.
I tow 7500lb enclosed trailer on the weekends with my stock Pirellis and have had no issues with them towing. They are god awful for traction but ride okay and handle the load just fine. I run 50psi in them, but shouldn't matter with the duratracs.
I would buy a set of P rated duratracs if i could get them in that size. You dont need heavy side wall for snow and mud if your on the road IMHO. Going off road with lower tire pressure, sure i get that. But if you have them properly inflated and are doing 90% road use, i think an aggressive tire is fine in a P rating as long as it can carry the load. Since my Pirelli's have, i assume the dura tracs can.

Remi, I really hate to ask, but do you have a different pic after the lift? The front end gets lost in the shadows. I was hoping to see how well the fill the wheel wells.
So these are just shy of 33" correct?
