I ended up selling the intake and returning the intake to stock and leaving the tunes of course.
There is much debate on if a dealership can even dectect if a tune has been installed if it has been removed before taking it back. But only a good tech could answer that. Ive never had the truck on a dyno but the butt dyno says it gives it a very noticable increase in usable power, especially down low with the torque management increase which is severly detuned from the factory.
CAI was that obnoxious?? I mean I wouldnt mind it being louder but I dont want it to be obnoxious! What about exhaust? Anyone with 6.2L doing any exhaust mods?

What he said minus the CAI removal. I like the growl you get with it. We all have our different tastes.

Watch my video to hear the sound and decide. Exhaust and maybe headers are next for me. That will probably exceed the obnoxious level for sure.

What kind of exhaust are you looking at?

Also I had asked this question elsewhere but maybe you will know. I am wanting to add some subwoofers and an amp and am wondering if I can tap off the existing sub woofer wires for my high level input? I will still be running an amp kit to the battery for power but would like to use the factory sub wires if possible.

I have not started researching the exhaust yet. Something low drone if i can.

Have not looked at anything audio, not really my bag. There is an audio section or something like that in the forums. Might want to ask around there.

Yeah I ran the intake without the lid for a couple hundred miles and normal driving wasnt bad but put a boat behind it and some hills and it was terrible. Especially when your pulling a 6% grade at 3K rpms. I live in the mountains so everywhere I go your pulling hills. I then used the lid Mike includes and this made things a lot better but still when pulling it was a little much for my personal taste. But this was just when towing. If I didnt two a boat as much as I do I would have kept it (with the lid of course).

BTW I have a magna flow muffler installed and couldnt be happier. Cant remember what series right off hand) but its the same one they use in the system they sale. I was real hesitent at first affraid it would have to much interior noise, but was suprised that it didnt.

This is the description and part #5" X 8" 18" BODY 3" S 2-1/2" D 12288 . I think I paid $92 off ebay. Enter the part # there are some on there. Not much to see from a pic as it is the stock exhaust minus the muffler.
