New Morimoto XB LED fog lights
#451
Like many others, I ordered mine November 28th. Just arrived today, and I live just north of their distribution center in Atlanta. When I called the other day, they said they had apparently received 2500+ orders over the weekend alone which is why they were slow getting out. Just finished installation which wasn't bad at all. Overall very happy with the lights, especially since they are back at $170 and I was able to get mine for $87 with taxes and shipping added.

The guy that did my xpel clear bra left me with the left over product from when he cut out my patterns. Think I am going to see if I have enough to make 2 pieces to cover the new fogs, pretty sure I do. Never used the stuff, I will trace morimoto fogs on paper make a pattern, cut out material and try and apply to fogs. Stuff is bullet proof and should keep the lenses from getting peppered over the miles. I have it on all my cars headlights and fog lights.
I filled a small bowl with warm water, added a drop of Dawn dish detergent, mixed the solution carefully with my finger (didn't want to make any suds since this tends to get air bubbles under the film), peeled away the paper backing, dipped the film in the solution, and placed it on the lens. Then I worked out the air bubbles with a soft squeegee from the center to the lens edges. Came out great.

I had the exact same idea and used a protractor to draw a 4" circle on the paper backing..,then I just cut out the circle carefully with a pair of scissors.

Ya know, I didn't want to say anything...but people's impatience is ridiculous. Oh boo hoo, people have to wait days later to get their upgraded fog lights....that they bought at a huge discount...during a black friday sale. People really didn't put two and two together? I'm not attacking you, by any means. I guess I remember the days of online ordering when I would have to go to the post office, buy a money order, send it by mail and then wait for it to clear and then have my product shipped. I'm glad I didn't grow up in this entitled day and age. On that note....can't wait to get my fog lights!!
Instant gratification complex! I get it also sometimes and can see where the frustration is, I hate getting tracking number with a receive by date and it's nowhere near accurate! I'd rather you just tell me that you'll get it waiting 10 business days and not be issued a tracking number.

Fogs installed and couldn't be happier with the look. Exactly what I was looking for. I'll have to wait till tonight to see what the difference is between these and the F150 LED's.

Looking good!
Mine are sitting here in box. Helped someone move furniture yesterday and threw my back out, grrrrrrrr, getting old. Stuck in bed out of commission. If I get on garage floor fire Dept will be the ones getting me back up lol. I still need to put protective film on the lights before installing as well.

I have left over xpel from when the guy did my truck.
He always leaves me the film that didn't get used on the sheets since he cuts off of bulk rolls on a plotter.
Where you located? When my back relieves from agony stage if I have enough scarp I could cut 2 - 4" circles and mail them to you. I think they will fit in an envelope and cost a stamp if your in USA so no sweat. I will go to garage in next day or two. Back is freaking killing me and on Vicodin not sure I could cut a clean circle today.
