Install was easy, and I took pictures if anyone wants the install process photos. Someone previously stated the LEDs look purple, and yes indeed mine do as well. from any angle. they are much closer to the 12000k spectrum than the advertised 5000k. I'll see if I can take a video tonight when I bring the truck out to dial in the aim. Overall I am very pleased with the product output, just kinda disappointed with the coloring of the light, as I know it will not match my future HID retrofit.

It's hard to tell but it is white and matches well.

I'll look again but I can assure you mine aren't blue or purple, it's bright white and they match the 5000K Bilinvic Retros I have.

I think this is still a very relevant conversation for this thread. I just installed these fogs as well and am a stickler for matching lights so i am just trying to find the bulbs that will match best. I am sure there are other people out there like myself

From what i can tell they are slightly off from the stock color but nothing too noticeable head on. When you look at the actual output though is when you see how much whiter the led fogs are than the oem hids

Tried to embed, but it didn't work.

Video I made with comparison to the stock halogens.

I got to use my fogs in some acual fog today. I was pretty happy with the result. They weren't throw some LED bulbs in your stock housing bright, but they did a great job all the same.

Your video does an awesome job of explaining just what these fogs do. They really compliment the oem HIDs, and they seem to really help out the stock halogen lights. This was a really good post torinalth! Do you mind if I post this on the thread I have created on f150online, or if you are on that site could you post it?

Thanks!

Correct me if Im wrong here but you have the halogen headlights correct? That would explain why the color is off. Your halogens are around 3500K, OEM HID are 4300K and LED fogs are 5000K. I can assure you the fogs are no where near 12000K.

Dawson. I think you may not be reading it correctly. yes, some of the comments in the video do lose meaning as they are made partially in response to res4cue regarding the light. when I first kicked them off yesterday morning they were pinkish purple. period. both on the ground and looking at them. I didnt check them again until I did that video where I was surprised that the coloring changed a lot when looking at them head on. I can see how just watching the video may be misleading from what I am saying when not having the context form this thread where I was using it as a response.

I may not have noticed either but mine match pretty dang good at 5000k, you can see the blending of the two lights on the ground.

I'll get some pics or do a video but I agree that these are nowhere near 12000k.

I just wanted to quote this from earlier in the thread. This is where the concern over color originated. SVT2205 stated that after the install he noted the Morimoto lights are blue/purple (see above). Many others said he was wrong right after that. I had the exact same phenomenon when mine were installed. They gave off a 12000k Hue initially when they first were used.

I feel like I am beating this to death, but still need to make sure it's understood. When you install there is a possibility it will appear purple. There are two people who have seen this now. After some time, exactly what amount I can not be sure, mine did indeed whiten up to be more like advertised. Burn in. No they are not 12000k anymore, but that is where they started.

maybe I should just pull the video. seems to cause more confusion than clarity.
