Nice truck. I had the 4.6L 3valve and 6 speed trans in my late 2008 Sport Trac. Very nice drivetrain. Lacks a bit on the torque compared to the 5.4L but so much better than similar power rated V6s.
Hope you have good luck with yours. I had a 2010 w/5.4L but had so many issues I got rid of it. Just love the new 2012.
BTW, as long as you have the 3.73 axle, you can tow 9300 lbs. If you have the standard 3.55 axle, your tow rating is down to 7700 lbs.
Enjoy your truck.

My truck has the 4.6L 3V engine. No complaints love it, but I forbid myself to drive a 5.0 or EcoBoost. I'd probably end up trading again. Nevertheless I am in love with my F-150!

Nice Truck and congrats! I used to have a 2010 STX that had the 4.6 3v. I really liked that engine. I will say the 4.6 was my most fav engine I have ever owned. I really miss it. Rock solid motor and the most reliable on the planet. You can't go wrong.

Yea 4.6 is my fav older engine by far. I have had 2 older 2vs. Not much power but most reliable engine i have ever had. This is my first 3v and its got the extra oomph and same reliability. Only thing i notice is it has very light chatter on top of engine but my cousin is ford mech he says is normal for 3v's
