Sounds more like a misfire. In his 1st post(see below) he said it acted up WOT tuned and stock.

So far ive used 91 octane becuase thats all i use in my truck since iver owned it. Truck is definately faster but it does not shift good at wide open throttle at all. Very very rough and it cuts out and then bogs down. I like the tune and when your easy on it, it's great, but WOT is "scary" becuase of the stuff i could be breaking. I had a short period for about 30 min i lost all power and sounded like my wastegates wouldnt open. IF i punched it it would barely move and accelerate very slowly, way worse than stock. This scared me. So i put the tune back to stock and unhooked the battery for 15 minutes then retuned it back to 91 and everything was good again, except for the wide open throttle.

As we mentioned before, it's not as simple as that. IF you spin the tires, it will hit the limiter 95% of the time. You can change the shifting to not do this, but then it will shift far too early when you don't spin. All it takes is a little spin to throw it off. This is something that all vehicles with this GM/Ford co-developed 6-speed have an issue with. Mustang, Camaro, G8, F150, GM trucks, etc. They all act this way, and if they spin the tire at all, it shifts later than intended. The other method we have seen some people use is to cheat this by raising the limiter, but that isn't safe for the engine. We choose to keep necessary safeties like this to protect our customer's investment for the long term.

no its only tuned that WOT messes up. I said i put it back to stock then unhooked batteries then redid the tune to 91 and still wasnt working

Careful, within 5000 miles of owning my first ecoboost I clogged the cat enough to cause the truck to stutter and tremble. That was stock, no tune, nothing. I would load up the stock tune run it around until the code pops up again and take it to the dealer and have the cat replaced under warranty.

I never had the problem again with that truck, and I think there was a TSB to reflash the tune as well when this happened. My 2013 has not had this problem, 10,000 miles carefree.

Glad to hear that the spark plugs helped out. You are very welcome. The shift points have been raised but are still well within a safe RPM range. Let us know if you would like them lowered back down to a stock shift range.

Thank you,
