New to forum - new to FORD!
Hi guys
After a ton of research and a lot of reading (mainly this forum) I purchased my first F 150. I opted for the 2010 5.4L XLT 4x4 in two tone tuxedo black. So far - I'm absolutely loving this truck. I purchased it last weekend and haven't been able to get out of it. Last week I used it to tow the work trailer (I own a landscape design firm) and it did really well. With the trailer unloaded (2200lbs) I could barelly feel it back there - can't wait to see how it feels with 8K lbs behind it. I should be trying out the 4x4 in some pretty wicked sand this weekend. Really looking forward to that too. One of the beaches we surf is 11 miles down from the beach entry. No 4x4 No go. Needless to say my friends with 4x4s are stoked on the fact they don't have to drive all the time now
So far I've added a spray in bed liner and a black powder coated low profile tool box - more to come for sure...
My only gripe is in the trailer option. Why would Ford option out the trailer brake in the tow package? Seems like the two would go hand in hand.
As for pricing - Sticker with options was 40K. I ended up getting it at dealer invoice, minus Ford incentives and the dealership split the hold back 50/50 with me. All in all I walked out at 29K. It was a wrestling match with the guys but in the end I got what I wanted - If you're looking at buying, stick to your guns and walk if they don't want to play.
OK - enough blabbering. Here's a few pics...

Yes, nice truck!!
The XLT, with optional Chrome Package, makes for a very nice and yet a very affordable truck. This is our first look (that I recall) at a member with the billet grill, which comes with
the Chrome Pkg on the XLT.
I love black trucks, my last one was black, but I went with sterling gray this time, as there was not a black one to be had in stock, when I bought in June.
Enjoy it !!

Thanks guys!
Loving the truck...no issues at all. Finally got to pull some weight with it and it did really well. The sound of it when it's pulling the trailer is super nice too. Finally stopped raining for long enough to warrant taking it to the car wash. Lots of looks from other guys getting their rides washed
One thing I have noticed is that my Lexus that I used to use to run errands and make sales calls is sitting in the driveway pouting at the lack of use
