I found out that the best way to get in contact with someone at UPR is to call them. I've never had much luck going the e-mail route either.

As far as JLT is concerned, there are too many stories on the net where they are not very effective and still let liquid oil pass the can and into the intake. I also don't like the fact that it is not secured to anything, has a very small capacity, and has plastic connect fittings that have broken on people after awhile.

I have no idea how effective this new Ford Performance separator is going to be. Only time will tell. If it lets liquid oil past the separator, I will go back to my Bob's or four chamber UPR.

if the hose diameters are the same, then the part will fit lol
Gosh I wouldn't want that to happen!!!!!!!

Just installed my JLT. Took all of 5 minutes. Very well built and the fittings and hoses are OEM. No worries on not having a bracket, it hardly weighs anything and its not going anywhere.

JLT did indeed have some problems with the early versions of their oil separator. However, they upgraded the plastic fittings to aluminum and JLT also changed the screen configuration inside the canister. For owners of the early versions, JLT provided new fittings to replace the plastic fittings at no charge. JLT also upgraded the screens at no charge as well. I know this because this is what they did for me.

As far as not being secured and the small capacity, it was not an issue on my GT500. I had two separators, one on each side of the engine, although only one ever captured oil.

Some customers may have had a bad experience with JLT, but, not me.

I've not heard anything bad about JLT's customer service so that has never been an issue. I knew that they had upgraded to the screens but not the fittings. That is good.

I just prefer that it had more capacity as well as being secured to something. That is just my personal preference and there are many good cans out there that address that issue. Many people love the JLT cans and that is good.

The Ford racing catch can looks like it's going to be a pain in the *** to drain. I'll stick with my jlt can, been plenty happy with it.

There is nothing much to draining the Ford can. Pull up the tabs on the two push pins to remove it from the valve cover, remove the can from both lines and pour the oil out of the inlet barb.

Finally nice to see an American auto manufacturer stepping up to the plate here.

Now, if they'd just figure out a design for the boost.

Just got it delivered a few days ago. It was waiting for me when I got home today. Put it in, only took a minute. It was a bit dark so pictures didn't turn out. Check out the link in the first post of this thread. Looks exactly the same as the Mustang. I was worried the mounting holes might have been different on the truck 5.0, but it was an exact direct fit. Looks great! Hoping they maybe figure one out for the driver side one day.
