My overlays are on the way! Was hoping that one of y'all with the steering wheel overlay and tell me if you had to Plasti Dip it first or if the overlay completely covered the blue and chrome of the emblem? Thanks in advance.

As long as you put it on correctly, you will not see any blue. No need to 'dip!

And one more question. I already have the front and rear ovals on my F150 Plasti Dipped black. Do I need to remove it or can the overlays go on over the plasti dip? Im assuming they stick better to the actual emblem but don't know. New to customizing. I appreciate any help.

Same as the other member said....no....if you install directly over the steering wheel emblem, it completely covers it. I did use heat to properly seal the decal around the edges. You may need a hair dryer or heat source to do that.

I would highly recommend removing the plastidip. If your plastidip comes off, so will the decal. It's only as good as the "foundation" that you have, so absolutely remove it anywhere you have that.
Lastly, make sure the surface is free from any waxes, oils (including your finger tips).
Post pics once their on & take your time putting them on. Results will be great!

Works fine. That's what I did with mine.

I need to get some for my front and rear emblems. I want black ovals and to keep the FORD chrome.
