How was changing that bulb out? Looks like it's a different setup that the factory halogen. I have led bulbs, you think I could swap those in place of the H7?

You won't be getting lit up from me. Those look great..!
The light output seems good. Can't get any worse than a giant square bucket reducing the forward throw.

I know there so many 09's thru 12 that have the Halogen lights, so it pains me to say it, but the hid's gave the front end the look it really needed.
I wish they had come out earlier than just the last two years.
Most likely, I would've been in a 15, if I didn't love the way my 14 looks with the factory hid's.

these must have just came out, because I searched forever to try and find an OEM clone and couldn't.

These might have the same h7 projectors that were in my spec-D lights I ended up getting, which I actually found were HID projectors (a koito clone). Here's the output with a good 35w HID kit:

Oh wow, nevermind...just saw the listing says they're "german projectors", which means (if that actually is true) that they are Hella e55 projectors. The Hella e55 halogens are actually very, very similar to the e55 HIDs and actually work really well with HID kits. Looking at your cutoff, I'm betting theyre telling the truth since the Hellas have a more sloped notch in the cutoff and yours have that same slope.

Throw something like the morimoto h7 kit in there, shim the bulbs correctly and they would be excellent, probably better than the OEM HID headlights.

These are a really good value for what theyre charging

Thanks for that information! What does shimming the bulbs mean? It would be sweet if someone has done hid's in this style housing or leds for that matter because I would be very interested in upgrading!

Im glad this is a good bang for your buck!

that actually looks like a decent cut off. try to get some pics when driving for cut off.
shimming the bulb is just adding a piece of shim, like little piece of cardboard from gum, to get the output pointing more towards center.

What the guy above me said, basically its just wedging anything you can in order to get the bulb to the correct position. Basically rebased (any of the H1, h7, h whatever) bulbs tend to have issues with not seating properly. Before clamping the bulb down you can move it around by hand to find the hotspot and see where it ends up when its mounted flush into the housing. Ideally you want the hotspot right at the cutoff notch, so if you dont see the hotspot at all and you add a shim at the 6 oclock position on the bulb base, it will bring down the hotspot. Basically wherever you want to move the bulb (left right up down), put a shim at that position. Something sticky works best so it doesnt fall into the housing.

Also, dont put LEDs in this. Optics arent designed for them.
