New F150 Reliabilities
I've heard so much good about the newer F150's and their reliability from lots of people on here and other websites but it seems like the people in the real world who use their Trucks on a regular basis have a little more to say.
I was in the market for a new Super Cab FX4 with a 5.0 and 3.73 gears this upcoming Summer but now I'm having second thoughts.
So I'm here asking how you enjoy your F150 and if any what problems have you had so far. And prior to buying your F150 what were you driving?
Hope I don't touch a nerve here but I would like to know what I am getting myself into here before signing any cheque. And for the record I have test driven the F150's, Silverado's/Sierra's, Ram's and the Tundra's. I know people that own each of the above trucks and all have nothing but good things to say.
So lets have at it, fill me in on the PRO's and CON's of the F150's

If you're buying a 2011 F150 there really aren't many cons, especially if you can afford the options that you want. There hasn't been any major performance issues. I know of several people with Rams that have had them leak and fall apart on them. My 2010 F150 has about 16,100 miles on it and I have yet to experience any issues. You really won't be sorry buying an F150. It also depends what you're using your truck for. I use my truck as an everyday driver/ luxury tank, so I couldn't really elaborate on towing and stuff. However I did haul an ATV once hehe.

Well I love my 2010. Its got 25,000 miles on it. I have had it at the southern most point of the US and the Northern most point of the US. She has been through 20 some plus states.
Like any new vehicle you can find bad hype on them anywhere you look online. I would buy a Ford truck over anything else on the market hands down. Good luck with your decision.

The 2011's have a few minor bugs but overall they are great trucks. I have had some shifting issues with mine (which I think I got resolved today), but nothing major. These are the nicest trucks on the road. I have owned them all: 1 Chevy, 1 GMC, 4 Dodges, and 1 Nissan. I've had good luck with all of them but none can compare to the ride quality, comfort, room, and power that my 2011 F150 puts down.

Up until my current 2010 F150, I owned 3 Silverado's. While I never had any issues with those trucks, I decided to go with the F150 this time for better towing capacity. I have almost 17,000 miles on it and like it better than the Chevy's I've owned. I feel it rides better, handles better, etc. For towing my travel trailer is 33 feet and dry weight of 6,850, truck handles it great.
I don't regret my switch. Best of luck with your decision.

Any truck I do buy will be a DD and will have some fun in some light mud, sand and snow... Eastern Canada.
The most work it will see is probably the odd trip with an ATV, hunting/fishing, hauling building materials for the house and whatever else I can use it for.

The only con I can think of with the '11s would be the fact the two of the engines are brand new for this model year (the 5.0 Coyote and the 3.5 EB) and haven't been proven yet, but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be anything less than reliable.
On a side note, a rule of thumb my pops had when I was growing up was that they didn't buy any vehicles the year or two after the new body style/motor/etc came out, just so the company had time to work out the bugs after changing from one model year to the next after a big redesign. This doesn't just apply to the drive train, but just the vehicle in general.
