My lady has a 2013 XLT. We love that thing. No major issues, does have an issue I think with the belt but that will be fixed. They are very nice rigs.

My father has one, going on a couple years now that he's had it and it's been great. I guess the one thing is the windshields for those things are ridiculously expensive to replace, so get glass coverage if it's something you'd normally leave out.

Our expedition just got t boned the other week so we too have been looking at the explorers sports. They drive awesome and are pretty comfortable, but I'm not a fan of the drivers cockpit. Feels way too cramped for me. The edges feel the same way.

We own a 2013 Limited, and have three friends with almost identical vehicles. No problems. Nice ride. Plenty of room. My only complaint is it is front-wheel drive, but so is almost everything else these days. Just my preference.

The Mrs. has had a 2014 limited since the summer of 2013 and it has been a great vehicle. No mechanical issues with it at all, but the my ford touch did sometimes go blank on trips, which is not really an Explorer issue... The last update seems to have fixed that problem. Our only complaint is that if you have small kids be careful on long trips in the third row seat. Our luggage shifted and tried to fold the seat up on our 7 year old and kept trying to do it. It was pretty scary, I think ford better fix it soon or they will be facing a lawsuit once a smaller frame kid gets hurt. My boy is very stout and it hurt his neck for a day or so, I can't imagine what it would do to a smaller kid.
I have an Expedition and she came from a Yukon because the third row in the sucked.
We got the V6 because we were concerned about all the reported issues in the Ecoboost. Another friend has the Eco and already wants to ditch it due to some issues...

Howdy I don't have a new model Explorer but with all of them I have owned I have never had a major problem. With that said here is a good forum to get the information you might need.

http://www.explorerforum.com/

They have the same Ford Service people on there as we have on here and it seems to get a lot of traffic. Just remember just like this forum most people never post a thread that everything is going great just though you all should know.
