Default New Duratracs Before and After

Upgraded from stock 275/65/18 ( 32s) Good Year SRAs
to 275/70/18 ( 33s ) Good Year DuraTracs.
Only a few days running, but so far very happy. Running at 37 PSI right now. Speedometer is right on. Looks like I may have lost 1 mpg or so. Barely any noise, and have only noticed a slightly rougher ride. I can definitely feel the squishiness or " flex" in the side walls when changing lanes on the highway, that people have discussed.

Looks good. Why 37psi? that seems low for LTs. I love my Duratracs (same size) I put on last Oct. I keep mine inflated to ~50psi. At highway speeds there is ~3mph difference (using GPS). They have been great in the snow.

They filled them with 37 PSI when I had them mounted and balanced. I have read a fairly broad range of opinions from 30 to 60. I haven't had much time to experiment but i was thinking mid 40s to 50 myself. Appreciate any input.

That's probably where the squishiness or " flex" in the side walls is coming from. Most of the complaints of Duratracs being squishy that I've heard about have been on 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks.

The lowest I would run in an LT tire would be 42 to 45 psi on an F-150. 37 psi is OK in most P rated truck tires.

^^^I agree. I had 35" load range D's on my Z71 and ran a min of 45 in them. I run 40 in my stock Pirelli's now.

Ive had duratracs on (285/70-17) for a few thousand now and agree with the others , I'm at 50psi up front and about 38 in the rear. I've meesed with chalk testing and been measuring the whole time. Seems about perfect for my truck. I run it lower when there's snow and ice. The difference in feel is huge. Before the truck seemed "wallow" in turns and lane changes.
