I love it though. Sounds amazing even with the stock exhaust. If you drive it easy then the 6speed will keep it right around 1500 rpm so it will get good mpg for a truck, but if you punch it a little harder it'll shoot up to 2500-3000 rpm and launch you like a rocket. I got a little road rage the other day when some girl was tailgating me on a wide open 4 lane highway so I punched it to get away from her and before I knew it I was doing 90 with the engine still pulling.
If you're not looking to do alot of heavy towing and don't necissarily have to have that instant power that the twin turbos gives out, then there's not really anything to dislike about the 5.0. At least not that I've found.

It now feels like our 5.4 when you tap the throttle, sets you back in the seat a little. I Love this truck!!
Would be nice to have a supercharger on it.......
Im going to add Solo Exhaust, as I lost the hearing the exhaust because of adding the K&N kit it has a Large growwwwwwl.lol.......

So far, I like it a lot better than the old 5.0/302. Time will tell if they will last as long as some of the old ones. I have seen quite a few old 5.0 trucks with over 200,000 miles that are still going to work every day.

Great motor, actually more than enough power for what the chassis can handle. Ford sandbagged the numbers on the 5.0L to push the Hyped up Ecoboost, which IS an AWESOME engine. The 3.5eb, 5.0L, and 6.2L can all handle towing the 7000-8000# max a person should tow with a 1/2 ton truck with ease, those towing more than that regularly should have gotten a F250+. There is no reason the 5.0L couldn't have gotten the same "max tow" option as the ecoboost and the retired 5.4L had.
