Default New BFG's 285/55/20

I was torn on tires for a while. I liked BFG, GY Duratracs & Toyo AT2 Xtreme's. The Xtreme Toyo's were just too heavy and I don't need a 10 ply tire. Plus the BFG's were a tad taller (32.5" vs. 32.2") and 5lbs per tire lighter. The P rated toyo's just didn't have enough to roughness them and the LT didn't come in my size. I was a little hesitant with the GY because it was a taller tire (33.5" vs. 32.5")and didn't want to lose too much performance and they also weigh the same as Toyo. So... here they are. I can honestly say I don't recall one truck on the 09-13 threads that have a 285/55/20 BFG AT

Nice. I was looking at getting these as well. I got a nail in the sidewall of my Pirellis and refuse to put another Pirelli tire on my truck.i need soemthing better for the snow and ice.

Funny you were thinking the same thing I was about the GYs vs the BFGs. I don't want to go too big either and the 285/55r20 is just perfect for me.

Are you running a level?

I'm planning on gettin these. The pirellis were garbage in the snow. I'm sure these will do pretty well

How do they ride compared to the factory Pirelli's? I have goodyear silent armor's in 285/60R20's and can't stand the rough ride.

That looks really, really good! I was torn about what I should get when I took off the Pirellis immediately after I bought my FX4. But I decided function should win out over form on this one - ride quality is more important to me than looks, so I went with Michelin LTX M/S2s. But those BFGs look totally awesome!

Looks great! Could you tell any power loss from those compared to the pirellis?

About the only size of bfg that isn't a 10-ply.

Wish they would make a 275/60/20
