The only thing that kinda irks me is the long pause to down shift...but that's simply because it can't shift 6 straight to 3 to pass...it has to down shift gear by gear.

well all the people with problems are complaining but people with no problems dont say anything, so all you see on this site is the 1 percent of ford f150 owners who have problems and it makes it seem like there is a bigger problem than there actually is, lol! Not to mention the people that dont understand that the 6 speed works differently than the transmissions that are older, so they do feel different and people used to older ones might think they have a problem when in fact its working as intended.

My 2011 6 speed downshifts way faster than the 2010s I test drove. However I still hate that it cant find the right gear at half throttle, it's usually all or nothing.. Give me paddle shifters and a gated transmission selector and get the shifts down into milliseconds after they accomplish that then add some more gears, until then it's still not gonna be right imo..

Must be a 5.0, my ecoboost has enought power to shift into the right gear without hunting....................... hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! Joking!!! Joking!!!
My 2011 shifts good, i had a 2010 5.4 that took months to downshift, was really annoying, that may be why it only lasted 2 months!

I wish I could relate to what your displeasure with it is for conversation sake. I guess it could be from differences in driving styles? I too am in the boat that has no complaints with it as is....
