FX42013

I got my Black 2013 FX4 with the Apperance package yesterday with ECO, 3.73 gears, and Max Tow Package fully loaded.

I am on the fence with the side stripes, dealer said they would remove if I wanted them to.....

I know the stripes are part of the package but this was the only truck with the Max Tow like I wanted within 800 miles of me....

What do you guys think?

I just got an FX2 with appearance package and it was one of the stipulations with the dealer that the stripes had to be removed if I was buying it. It looks way cleaner without them.

I would say its a personal opinion. I was going to remove mine as well but kept them on for a few days and they grew on me, mainly because it doesnt look like all other f-150s out there. I have also got a lot of compliments on the looks of my truck (although I do with I would have got the white one like above (white, black, and red it badass color combo)). YOu can remove it at anytime-just use a hair dryer, go slow and then use goo gone to remove the residue. Its your truck-keep if you like, remove if you dont although blacks strip is less noticable than white or silver or blue. Red, black, and grey are a little more subtle.

Yes, I tried it for a weekend, but the stripes just never grew on me. I figured they would because it was something different but I just couldn't get into it so I had them removed.

Yes you are correct White, Black, and Red my 3 favorite colors and the best combo ever haha.

I orderd a grey with the appearance package precisely because I like the stripes. Albeit the grey on grey is much more subtle than the white.
The truck without them looks like every other F150 out there JMHO

Yea I actually like the stripe on every other color except white. On the white because the stripe is perforated the white bleeds through and makes the stripe look really gray and out of place on the predominant white and black truck. Now had it been solid black I might have kept it.

on a white truck, i'd take it off.. i would also get ride of the ridiculous elephant mirrors too
