Disagree. For those with the max tow option they serve a purpose. Those mirrors are one of the two reasons I held out for a 13.

If you tow anything large like some of us do with our trucks you would appreciate them.

Thanks guys for all your opinions, I have yet to decide what I want to do... Guess I will have to study it a little longer....

I do agree though the big mirrors are a plus for towing, I like them and am glad they are on my truck.....

(Now just to decide on the performance mods I want to do.....)

About an hour in the Texas summer sun the day after getting the truck home and the stupid stripe was gone... I bought mine solely for the interior in the 2012 app package.




The current stripe is cool for the FX2 street type trucks, but the FX4 warrants a graphic more 'off-road' flavored similar to the raptor graphics..I trashed em, haven't looked back.


LOVE the appearance package on the FX trucks... BUT hate the stupid graphics and the alcantra inserts on the 13's It looks like old carpet to me.

In highschool i probably would have removed everything removable on mine as far as trim.

Nowadays... NOPE.. it all stays.

I love the stripes on any color, but it looks best on my new Tuxedo Black Metallic FX4.

I'm probably biased (since I have the appearance package), but I was determined I was going to lose it when I bought the truck, a few days later I was on the fence, then after seeing people's pictures on here before and after, I think the removal of the package makes it look like any other F150 out there, and that the stripe is one of the few unique features that I have to be different than others. Mine is white, which is why i was on the fence, but I'm happy I kept it now. If I had black, dark gray, or the maroon colors, I'd definitly leave, all the brighter and lighter colors, it's a personal decision, to each his own.

Sometimes I like the stripes and sometimes do not I guess it depends on the day. I really like the combo you have going on it seems really well thought out. Tone on tone grey instead of black Something different than everyone else works great!
