Default New 2011 FX4 exhaust put on today

Magnaflow SI/DO 18" muffler (12198), Magnaflow 18" long 4" slant/rolled edge tips, and resonator delete.

I couldn't decide on going straight out the back or running 45 degree out the back and kept going back and fourth, back and fourth.
Well after finally deciding that I dont like the look of the 45's from straight behind the truck I went straight. I will note however that I do like the look of the 45's from a side view slightly better, but that couldnt offset the look from the rear enough for me.

Love it so far. Loud when you stomp on it, but when just cruising with the windows down its not noticeable enough to have to raise your voice to talk with people in the cab.

when you do this kind of setup is there any funky bends you have to make on the tubes due to spare tire or gas tank etc..getting in the way?

Can you keep your spare tire inplace with the Magnaflow system? Their website says that you have to remove it.

Nothing too crazy. Just has to be bent up over the axle and around the spare tire

This wasnt a prefabbed system. I bought the muffler and tips from summit racing and took it to my local exhaust shop that had a pipe bender and they bent all the pipes for me and routed it around the spare. Theres about 4" between the pipe and tire, not close enough to where I'm worried about it

Right decision, straight back is definitely the best look, and you don't have tire debris wearing out your tips.

Thanks, I was also worried about the 4" tips looking goofy/too large on a non lifted/leveled truck. I think it looks fine however as is, and I plan on doing a 5100 level and possibly a Rancho 4" lift eventually. They will fit in much better then.
