New 2011 FX4 Ecoboost
Hi everyone,
I thought I would show off my new 2011 FX4 Ecoboost.
Our new born baby died and we found out we can't have kids, so we got the new truck to go out traveling to sort everything out.
I didn't get the awesome deals that everyone else gets on theirs, but the dealer sort of had me because it was exactly what I was looking for minus the 36 gallon fuel tank (came with a 26), and I wanted it that weekend to take with us.
I started off with 15MPG, but as I hit 1,000 miles I started getting 21.2 MPG on it. I'm pretty happy with that number.
She's a cute girl, I like her. Anyway, here's a picture:

Now now, don't forget silver! I just got mine 3 weeks ago, also with the ecoboost and the FX luxury pkg. I couldn't be happier so far, still hanging around 17 Avg MPG though and already put 2400 miles on it.

Here's the full shot. I had to get my wife to move her Escape to take it.
I have the Luxury package on it too. I didn't want the navigation system because I didn't like using it when I tried it out on other models. I figured I would end up using my cell phone for directions if I needed it. I also heard that you can program directions on it while the vehicle is moving, so 10 times of 10 times I'll say to my wife, "Hey, look up how to get to xyz" and if she can't program it while the truck is moving she'll have to use her cell anyway.
I do find the sync voice system absolutely useless on the truck, we tried getting it to work, but we couldn't. We can't get it to work right in my wife's Escape either.
I love the truck, just wish it had the 36 gallon tank, but we don't tow much and there's usually a gas station every 10 feet when we're traveling, so I don't think it'll matter much. I just hate stopping for gas.

Sorry bout the kid, brother. There are children of all ages out there that need loving parents to care for them. I'm no bleeding heart, but it is a big man that steps up and becomes a real father to guide the next generation. By the way, nice truck, dude!
