Default New '13 owner: 1st mod... "Accidentally" bought a tonneau cover!

Well it's been only 3 days of ownership and I already have parts ordered and being shipped. I ended up getting a DeeZee bed mat along with an Extang Trifecta tonneau cover. The funny thing is, is that I really wasn't intent on buying the cover yet, I was still researching everything that is out there (I tend to overanalyze things!) I like the idea of the versatility of the trifolds, but I like the price of the rollups. This is where I think the Trifecta is a good compromise.

Anyways, I started comparing prices, and eveywhere I could find, the Trifecta was $425 shipped. Well I found an ebay listing that was a Buy-it-now listing with an OBO feature. I figured what the heck, I've got nothing to lose, I'll lowball them and they won't accept anything less than $10 lower than their price. Well, I offered $375 shipped, and the offer was acepted INSTANTLY! Needless to say, I bought a tonneau cover! I'm guessing they have a lower reserve ($350ish maybe) and that's why my offer was accepted automatically and immediately. So now I'm looking forward to getting it on this weekend!

Here are some pics of my new truck
2013 Ruby Red XLT 4x2
Convenience pkg
Chrome pkg
3.55 electronic locking rear diff

I want to tint the front windows to match, and then who knows where the modding will go from there. I keep telling myself I'm going to keep this truck stock...

Thanks guys! I was initially dead set on race red and didn't even think twice about Ruby Red... until I saw it in person on the lot. The color is very deep and rich, the pictures in the brochure didn't do it justice! I am loving the truck!

I am excited to get my Trifold and to see how functional it is! The tonneau cover I had in the past was a primitive snap one, and the market has come a long way in design over the last 10 years!

I think your gonna Love it, I do mine... Takes a easy 5 minutes to lay it on the bed rails, line it up, fold it, then tighten the 2 fasteners on each side, unfold, then latch! Im used to having the PTM fiberglass hard covers, and they look nice! But God theyre a PITA to remove and reinstall when hauling large items! Ive had mine for 7 months now, and no problems! Just be sure to het the Tonneau Tonic from Extang, its great and protects the vinyl from the sun and weather!

Also, I installed a tailgate weather seal strip! local truck outfitters sell them around $20.00, they just stick on with 3m tape, and ensure anything you put in the bed will stay Nice N' Dry!
