Default Never again will I purchase a Ford vehicle.

I purchased a 2012 F150 EcoBoost truck and have had nothing but problems from the time I drove it off the lot. I paid $17k for this used truck only a year ago and its not worth even 7k now. Biggest piece of trash I've ever seen! From the transmission problems to the display gauges not working, the roof leaks. Now the Ford dealership handling the lead frame replacement in the transmission is telling me that the fluid is black and they found pieces of transmission floating in the fluid. But Ford won't pay for any of the damages. I'm so fed up with this truck as it is a lemon! How do I get Ford to replace this vehicle?

I hear ya, I bought a bags of grapes and one was rotten. I'll never buy another grape. Shouldn't the company that bagged those grapes owe me a whole new bag?

Used trucks are always a gamble, many here have had no problems.
It depends on how it was used.

Ford does not help by not putting a transmission dip stick to check fluid condition.

Anyone remember the bullseye test?

Why do you think the other person traded it in? $17,000 and how many miles?

Never ceases to amaze me someone buys used expecting new performance. You get what you pay for and you paid for someone else's headache.

Did you take the truck to have the truck examined by an independent mechanic before buying? Did you Carfax the truck? Did you ask for dealer for a Carfax sheet? Every used car dealer now has a subscription to Carfax or similar service. If they don't have the sheet to show you, red flag #1. If they won't allow you to have the truck checked by an independent mechanic, red flag #2.

I doubt the problems you're having are about Ford but more about the previous owner. It's dumbfounding how many people buy a truck and think they're buying a Prerunner and treat it like it is.

Only my opinion but your complaints are with the dealer, not Ford and used car dealers have the reputation they do for a reason. Can't blame Ford or the dealer if you didn't do your homework before buying. Your problems aren't related to the badge on the truck. It could be any one of the many. I know this sucks and sorry but it's the way it is. Most of us have learned this the hard way too.

Nahh, that would be like blaming the dealer for something the vineyard produced.

Claim it under a lemon law and move on. Buy something else. You could run into a similar problem with any other car organization.

OK, you bought a 6 year old truck that was at least 1 year out of warranty when you purchased it, drove it for a year and basically let it fall apart around you. Never looked to see if there was a fix for any of the other problem. You obviously don't know the history on the vehicle, maintenance records or anything like that. Now it sounds like whomever owned this truck before you beat the crap out of it and then sold it. Now you have it and are fighting with it.
Were you wronged, sounds like it but it was by the used car lot and not the Ford Motor Company. Ford sold a vehicle that although is not perfect is still running 7-8 years later. Ford stepped up and said there might be a problem so we will fix that problem for 10 years of 150,000 miles. If someone was pulling down trees with that truck or stuck semi's out of ditches I don't see how that is Ford's fault when they drop you trans pan and find it in little pieces inside.
So you are calling a 7 year old truck, possibly worn out from previous abuse a lemon. Plus you think Ford is supposed to replace it. You want to know how to get Ford to replace it, got to as Ford dealer and make a deal on a new one, then make the payments and take responsibility for your own actions and expecting everything to be handed to you on a silver platter.
