Nerf Bar help...
Looking to replace my factory running boards and have been going through tons of sites trying to find the right look. Think I have made up my mind but wondering if anyone has any feedback on these. I love the aggressive look.
Anyone have these already? Any reasons not to pull the trigger? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... RBP RX-III Black Cab Length Steps http://autocustoms.com/images/product/large/1139_3_.jpg |

Those look like a lot of extra weight.. hope they come with more mounting hardware.

I just put on TrailFX nerf bars. I had looked at other RBP ones, the model down from what you are looking at, which look the same as my TrailFX and NFAB bars. I thought the ones like you are looking at, had a bulky appearance, unless your truck is lifted. I believe NFAB still makes all of RBP's nerf/step bars for them, and brand them with the RBP name. Pic of mine below.

Attachment 432736 Truck looks great! I was actually looking for the bulkier look for them as I do have a 6" lift. Right now she's as she came from the dealership brand new one month ago. I have tinted and added bed rails, but nothing else yet. I really hate the boards that came on it, they just dont work for me. I'm also going to remove the rear bed step as well. The hardest part for me is shipping. I'll probably have to get them custom fabricated here locally, nice thing is that getting stuff like that done here is cheap as heck. Probably cost me a third of advertised prices in the states. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...77889c9418.jpg |
Not a fan of the bed rails.. truck looks good.

Truck looks great!! Yes, if you get a set fabricated locally there, it would be a lot cheaper. With your 6" lift, ones like those RBP's you've shown, would suit quite well id say.

I'd be worried how much crap they would catch in the pockets. Even though it's not solid in there, I would think they would collect a lot of rocks, mud, and snow. I like the ones on the white truck. I've had Nfabs before and had them Linex coated. They were great.

Couple issues with NFabs for me.
1. The step is too far forward. Needs to be about 6-8 inches towards the rear. 2. They started rusting out after 1 winter in Chicago and they look absolutely horrible now after 2 winters. Need to take them off and get bedlined or something. |
