Need Suspension
 

Have a 2013 Lariat 4x4 with less than 38k and I think I need new suspension. I put a RC 2.5" leveling kit and every time I get out of the drive way or do a long turn the front tires rub (that is the only time)

So million dollar question: Get new shocks (and get rid of the leveling kit) or get a 4" kit? I love how the truck looks level and I have the ridge grappler on them.

Where are they rubbing? What size tire? Stock wheel?

There are rubbing on the fender well. Stock OEM rims just taller. I think I have the 290 75R18

4" will net you more than 4" most of the time and you should have stock geometry after, but since you're running stock rims, you'll need new ones for any lift with different backspacing to clear the new steering knuckles (maybe an exception with rancho??? the 04-08 you could run stick rims)


this is subjective, but I think 4" with 35's looks perfect

35's are too much tire for a 2.5in level.

You won't get any higher on a 4wd without going to a full suspension lift.

You'll need new wheels or at the minimum wheel adapters to clear the steering knuckles.

Are you sure it is rubbing at the back/wheelwell area? It's almost always the front air dam.

We put 315/70/17s ("35s") and OEM Raptor wheels on a 2012 4WD with stock suspension and all it took was a slight trim of the front airdam on one side. PLENTY of clearance at the rear.

I will check again, just to make sure. But it is hard to check because it only happens when getting out of the driveway (reverse) or closed turns..
