Need a spare key
#21
I paid 88.00 for the key , key cutting , and the programing for my 2010 when I bought it.
Now that I'm in a 2012, I'd like to think they would've raised the price a bit. I'd say more than 75.00 but less than 90.00 depending on where you live.
BTW Those are US dollar amounts.

Do you have remote start? If not, get the plug-n-play remote start kit from the dealer. I got mine for my 2011 for $180.00 out the door. Installed in the dealership parking lot in about 10 minutes (took my time to zip tie the wires nice and tight) then the dealership cut the keys (comes with 2 in the kit), programmed all of them, then flashed my computer to activate the remote start all for free because I bought the remote start kit from them. Now I have 4 programmed keys for the truck, 2 with remote start and 2 without. I have a spare squirrled away inside the truck that will start it, open the doors, and lock the tailgate if needed. I can get into the truck with the keypad if I lose or can't get to my keys. I wanted the remote start anyway and this worked out great for me.

"Good morning,
The key you need is STRATTEC part number 5913441. It is a chip key and doesn't include the fob. I have attached a photo for your reference.

He also said they don't sell direct, so I went to a local locksmith to see what the key plus cutting to my truck would cost. Have not got a response yet.

Id go to the dealership on warranty for a mysterious malfunction on the computer... .. ie- warning msg about Check Engine light.... then they could flash it all at the same time, for NADA.....:P Ford would pay on THEIR ticket..!!

Got one of these for my 2011, guy at home depot cut it for me no problem, no charge. Programmed it following instructions in manual. Even the remote start button worked. 2011, 2012, 2013 all the same key.
