When mine did the "Check park aid" thing, I rewired my cubes to my backup lights. Have had no problems since.

I had the same issue. Figured it would be an easy install to just tap into each reverse light, but it didn't work. Should have found your post first. Whoopsie.

I tapped into the ground wire in the 7-way trailer plug as well and it worked without issue!

Great to hear! And this is why I'm replying to this really old thread, so that the next guy can see that if adding LED reverse lights, tap into the 7-pin trailer harness at the rear of the truck and you won't have any issues.
