Default Need some advice on trading my XLT for FX4

I bought my 2013 XLT screw 4by2 in April. Loved the coler and price I paid. $26000. Dealer has a 2013 fx4 loaded. I decided I want to trade for it. Just need some help deciding if this is a good deal. Here is the sales write up. And the fx4 and mine.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to get more off in rebates. Considering we are a little over a 2 weeks away from 2014, they should be begging to get rid of the 13's. I would bargain more if it was me. I've seen guys getting 10K+ off.

Nice FX4 by the way!

Do that same worksheet starting with the invoice price of the 2013 Fx4, not the retail price. If they won't sell it to you for invoice or below invoice move on.

I think $38.5 is already below invoice on a $45.2k truck, but being an older model you should get it way more cheaper.

38.5k is after the rebates and his trade difference were applied. Start with the invoice of the Fx4 first then minus the rebates & trade difference and it will be thousands less. Never pay retail for a vehicle at the end of the model year. They should have better rebates than 4k right now on that truck OP, when I purchased my 2013 XLT 4x4 in Dec 2012 i got $6500 in rebates. Might want to double check that.

You are correct sir, start with invoice then apply the rebates. I'm surprised you got so much at the end of the year on a new model truck, best rebate I was offered is $1750 on a 2014 FX2 today

If you really want this truck just tell them give you the invoice price on it, then work the numbers around that. Dealers in my area(CA) are offering huge discounts on the remaining 2013's they have in stock. They're clearing out the 2013's to make room for the 2014's
