Default Need Opinions...

I recently had a Flowmaster 40 SISO muffler put on my truck and the drone is so bad I am replacing it with a MagnaFlow. When I ordered the part I was in a hurry and didn't realize I picked both a 14" and an 18" MagnaFlow Stainless Steel muffler.

I can return either one to my local store but I'm not sure what I want. After some careful reading on this and other forums everyone says the 14" gives more rumble/sound than a larger 18". I don't want it abnoxious or excessively loud but want it louder than the stock one. I am also keeping the resonator as it is stated that MagnaFlow says to keep it to help with low end torque.

Anyone that has either muffler 14" or 18" can you please comment on the sound and any drone issues? If possible a sound clip would also be nice.

Thanks,
Bob

I have their whole cat-back system, dual rear exit. I have the 14 muffler. It's certainly louder than stock, but not obnoxiously so. No real drone that i notice, but that is subjective I guess. When you make the exhaust louder, it will sound louder in the cab.
