Ya was going to rent one before buying one but no one around me rents them, I even searched almost 100 miles around me! Crazy. All I can find is rv's and places that will drop a travel trailer off at a place they drop off at, crapy *** camping spots, but won't let you tow them.

2013 5.0 with 3.55 gears. Trailer weighs 5,500 dry, plus all the gear, beer and what not.. Truck pulls it like a dream. Never even have to put my foot down more then half throttle.

I do have the factory tow pkg; hitch, cooler, brake controller. But not the tow mirrors. Towing capacity per Ford (FWIW) is 9600 lbs.

only thing about 3;31 gears is they tend to be a little sluggish when your starting out, then tend to need more motor when you are passing. that's why the eco is such a good motor for that gear's we all know its good to go.
I wonder just how much gas it saves or eats towing as compared to say 3;55 or 3;73 gear sets?

I'll be finding out in a couple months, I would think little more when going up Hill or passing.

The 3.55s give you more power but reduce empty gas mileage a little. The 3.73s more still. The 3.73s will definitely tow better but when empty and highway driving (70-75), the gas mileage will be reduced.

The 3.55s are a compromise of the three.

Towing with any engine and any gears will not get great gas mileage. it's the cost to play.
