Need help led mirror mod

I grabbed power from the running light wire on the left headlight. Ran the wire into the cab and split it there to go to each side. Then into each door. Then it gets complicated. If you want to use a single strip, you'll need resistors and diodes. If you're using 2 strips, each with a single function, then you won't need them. I have a how-to of how I installed running/turn signals on the front of my tow mirrors and that should help, just check my threads.

How did you go about feeding the wire through the door jamb?

I pulled back the weather strip and ran it under it then made a small slit in the boot and through there into the door. Not perfect but with how much I open and close my doors, I haven't had any issues and the wire still looks great. Should probably heat shrink it but that would require extra effort and a possible cut and splice and I'd rather not.
