Default Need help with front hitch receiver and grill guard

Is it possible to have a front hitch receiver and a grill guard? I currently have a Ranch Hand Legend series, and I would like to add a front 2" receiver. The receiver would be used to attach a rack and also to have access to move a winch front to back depending on needs. I've seen the receiver installed before, but never with a grill guard and would like to know if anyone has done this.

Thanks

I thought ranch hand made a bumper replacement grille guard with a hitch option.

This is not a shameless self-promotion, but it is a thread that may give you some ideas. Just scroll to the end for the front receiver that I just installed.

So, the answer to your questions is "yes".

They do, but I only have the grill guard, not the bumper replacement.

You're work is really nice, but it doesn't quite answer my question. The front receiver hitch uses the same mounting points that the grill guard uses. The only thing I can think of, is that something custom would have to be made. Sadly, I don't have the skill or resources to do that.

I don't think it'll work. As you've stated, they use the same mounts. If you weren't wanting to use it with a winch I'd tell you to just add a piece of square tubing to the brush guard to accept a 2" hitch rack thing. Won't work for a winch though.

segen, if you can send me a picture illustrating what you're working with, or post one here, I my be able to give you an engineered solution.

Get a rough country hidden winch mount and bolt a hitch receiver to it, that'll free up the grill guard mounts. Works only if the area in the center of your bumper is unobstructed.

Another member here @Feathermerchant can tell you more about the setup as he installed one on his truck. Here's a link to his work. https://www.f150forum.com/f34/who-ha...3/#post4971411

Instead of getting something custom, why don't you just get the bumper replacement and sell your current grill guard? You'll get the hitch and ability to add a wench. The time and effort trying to figure a work around would be more than the difference.
