Default Need help Deciding Between 4 inch lift & 35's or 6 inch & 37's

Hi I just got an 09 f150 platinum 4x4 and Im trying to decide between a 6 inch lift and 37s vs a 4 inch and 35's. My main concern is gas mileage and i was wondering how big of a difference would the 6/37 combo vs 4/35 in gas mileage. If its only 1 or 2 ill go with the 6/37. I Was also wondering if anybody had pics of either setup. Ive pretty much decided Im going with a BDS lift either way but Im still open for suggestions. Im also curious what the price would be for the re-gear and tune would be for each. Thank you

If that is your main concern, then I don't think either is an option for you.

I agree, if you even worried about mileage at all don't lift it. Spend the money on a leveling kit and 33s and use the money you saved for gas. Cause even with 33s you will lose a little.

well it is a concern but not enough to keep me from lifting it. my main concern is will a 6 inch with 37 be more then 1 or 2 less mpg then 4/35

Mileage sucks either way, may as well go 37s but regearing would pretty much also have to be factored in with 37s IMO.

Personally I ran a 2.5 in and my 33s and 17s for about a year. No real notice in mpg loss. Maybe 1 or 2. I'm still running my 33s and 17s right now but I recently put a Rancho 4in Lift on my truck, I will be going up to 35s in the future. MPGs aren't really a big deal but it's something that is always considered. I'd rather not waste any unnecessary money or MPGs if I can. I'd say go with the Rancho 4in 17s if you can and some Toyo Open Country AT2 Xtremes. The tires are pretty aggressive for an AT and still save on weight.
