need help asap
I have an 11 xlt screw. Factory 18 in wheels . I ordered 17" as ford dealer told me the wheels should fit . I just went to my shop put the wheel on and I have about 1/16 maybe a little more around the caliper. There is 1 spot where the corner of the caliper was rubbing. I already have the tires and wheels . Can I just grind that spot down a little and roll with them.or am I screwed ?

yeah there's not much clearance - i run 17's, and the locust swarms got so bad here over the summer they actually packed into the wheels and jammed at the calipers (didn't cause any issue other than locust-stink from them getting cooked in there). things I learn as I live down here....

Awesome thank you for the replies I've been stressing all morning about it . They are 17 by 9 0 offset . They seem like they are going to stick out alot . Anyone have those specs ? I'm going to be running 285 70 17 Cooper St maxx

depends on state law and how strict the cops are around you....
not sure the offset on my level 8 trackers but they stuck out enough I added BW's street flares ... just enough to cover without that ridiculously big look of the larger flares

Well got the tires on the wheels on my lunch .. After work grinded down the edges where I thought it was rubbing got them all on looked great slapped the center caps on put my truck in reverse and it did not budge .. thought the embrace was on of course it wasn't . Hit the gas heard the worst grinding sound ever and truck was screwed . The calipers were digging into the inside of the wheels ..
