Default Need a bit of help with a leak

I've had the third brake light fixed once about 40k miles ago. I washed the truck this weekend, and must have nudged something loose. I was driving yesterday in the rain, and a steady stream came flowing in by the back window.

I plan on going to home depot to get some silicon and I'm looking for recommendations that will hold up to Texas summers.

BTW, I really hate that the factory premium warranty doesn't cover water leaks.

I'm thinking about trying something like this, but worried it could negatively effect the paint.
