Need Answer Quick On Mirrors
I have a 2013 XLT. Mirrors are heated with signal. Found a passenger power fold locally on Craigslist. It's off a 2012 Harley edition I believe. But it has a chrome cap. Questions are:
Can I switch the chrome cap for my stock black one.
And will it bolt right up?
I know additional wiring and the switch is required but is that it? Guys only asking $100 for the mirror and I have to pull my mirrors in for where I park and the passenger side can be a pain when it's raining.

You have to disassemble the mirror to remove the cap, be careful when removing the glass though. Shouldn't be hard, their made to switch out.

I have done exactly what you are planning. I have a 2013 xlt. I replaced both mirrors with take off fx4 ingot silver capped mirrors. Install and wiring on new fold mirrors was simple. I also replaced the caps without disassembling the mirror. Be very careful though with the clips. This was the best mod I have done. Love them power fold mirrors!
