Wondering if there are any updates to this thread/topic? I'm considering a winch as well, and like the idea of a front hitch mount. Then you could put it on the front or back of the truck. And you'd only need to put it on the front when you really needed it, it wouldn't be an issue of blocking the air flow out front. Any updates or new thoughts would be great.

Full race is releasing there top mount IC, right away... They were taking pre-orders. A pricey way to get a winch on our ecoboost's, but I'm pretty sure i'm going this way.

I'm not going to do all that, for something I might mount on the front a couple times a year.

There are companies that make winch plates that slide into 2" receivers - that way you can use it frt or rear as long as you have the wiring for it. Google it & you'll see

That's pretty much what this whole thread is about. I was looking for any input on if anyone had done this and how well it works out for them.

Sorry but I don't have the eco so I was gonna go with the RoughCountry front winch mount- it goes right behind the center of bumper- pretty sweet. Waiting for fundage.
