Default Navigation colors

Here's a lighter topic for today...

Anybody know what the yellow color means? Unless I'm blind, it's not in the manual. And I can't find anything related online. Or, is there a manual of some sort that gets to this level of detail?

Mostly, a route is colored light green, like the 2nd street in the route shown. For some roads, it is yellow. I only see this in smaller towns, but obviously, not all streets in smaller towns. I'm sure it is not traffic related since it is turned off, and these residential streets probably wouldn't have traffic reports, anyway.

(don't worry, I pulled over for the photography)

It's either construction or moderate traffic building up our 2015 edge we just bought does this. My 2011 platinum does it to but instead of showing a color I just get a notification saying heavy traffic ahead

On the sync 2 systems (2012 and below), the yellow is incomplete map data areas.

And as you may have figured out, I always run gps without voice. Drives me crazy. 2,3,4 comments for every turn. Last night I worked, had 17 stops or more. Let's see, probably half a dozen turns average between stops, times 3 comments each turn could be over 300 times in 4 hours hearing "in xxx feet/miles, turn right"!

Yeah, I've got stock Nav and have even thought about buying the A4 update for it. That being said, Google Maps and Waze makes most in dash nav systems obsolete. I don't even bother using my stock nav system anymore.
