Default Mystery Damage....

Washed off the salt and winter gunk, only to notice this dent and some marks. Any ideas guys?? I did not hit or back into anything....looks like something hit the truck while parked....but what the heck would hit it straight up and down? Hopefully this didn't happen when it was at the Ford Dealer for an oil change last week!

Nope. Nothing in the bed of the truck. Tonneau cover has been down all winter.

That's an odd spot to get a dent like that. No clue, but would like to know as well.

I would bet when it was being washed, some kind of debris was caught up in whatever washed the truck (wash mitt, wash brush etc) and marred/scuffed the clean coat.

Been there. Some mild clearcoat polish should clean that right up.

That is a weird one. I would have to go with a car wash with bristles and foam pads that "slap" the side of the truck as well. Bummer.
