So I finally got my truck to the dealership.
Of course they could not replicate the issue. It honestly does happen so sporadically, its nearly impossible to replicate it.
But when it does happen, its very frustrating. So far I have had to pull the battery cable twice.
The dealership invoice states:
"Reprogrammed APIM all my touch functions working okay at this time."
This was on Friday. It has not happened since, but there have been many days in a row without issue. I will keep ya posted.
I didn't loose any settings on my stereo such as favorites etc, but then again, the APIM and the stereo are 2 different animals.
Also, be aware, Ford did issue recall 12MO2, which basically extends the warranty on our APIM modules. Tells me Ford is concerned, probably due to the number of complaints.
Makes me wonder if they are going to retro fit our units with Sync 3 in the future if people continue to have issues. If Microsoft are no longer involved, what will Ford do with defective units?

My 13 did this all the time, was hoping an updated one in my 15 superduty would be better, nope freezes all the time. Ford really needs to move in a different direction, my wife has u connect in her jeep and it is incredible!!

Well it doesn't help but Ford is moving away from Microsoft and my touch and going in a different direction soon.

Mine runs slow at times, but I think it only locked up one time in the nearly 2 years I've had it. I think I read some have had issues if they left a drive plugged in that was large, or that had files saved in several levels.
As for updates, wishful thinking. The 2011- 2012 guys were left out when the 2013 updates came online. 2013 had one update after that. Then 2014 came out leaving the earlier years behind, and they have had 1 update since then. Now 2015's are out, and Ford plans to move to the new platform in another year or so? You will get no software updates just like you don't get improved engine tunes when they tweak them every couple years.

I love my F150, don't get me wrong, but I would document the hell of out it and keep sending your dealership a new report every time it freezes.
Not to take this thread off topic, but I once had a Ford Escape that had a defective throttle body. A real safety hazard because it would fail right in the middle of driving, and the next start up, it would be ok.
To this date, Ford still wont acknowledge how dangerous of a situation it presented. All I asked was for Ford to pay be back for the part (which I even installed myself).
I am keeping the defective unit in hope of that day.
So, although the MyFord Touch is not likely to cause your engine to die on the highway at 65, I would be ticked off having to pull the battery cable just to kill the stereo or not being able to adjust the stereo / heater.

This must be a fairly infrequent occurrence as not a lot of folks have freeze-up problems on this forum. Mine(late'13 model) has never frozen, or acted up. My only complaint is how hard you have to push on the screen when it's -15F in the morning.

Mine will freeze up when after I start the truck and have to go into reverse. It won't return from the camera to the home screen. It goes to the phone screen and no buttons but the setting in the phone screen work. I have to push the setting button and then I can navigate to where ever I want. I tried having and not having my phone connected and it still does it. Makes me want to eat a puppy at times.

Put the puppy down, Smoke270!

Have you already tried performing a master reset? If not, here are the steps: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...c-myford-touch

If that doesn't take care of it, I'd have your dealer take a look.

I haven't tried a master reset yet. I'll give it a try. I won't take it to the dealer. Waste of my time. All they do is "re-flash" the computer and send me on my way. That is always their solution and it turns out to be a huge waste of time and gas with no resolution.

Okay, I read the instructions and it sounds quite simple. Next time I get in it I will try it. Looks like I'll be losing all my saved wall papers and radio programming. Thanks again
