Angry My truck wont turn over and battery is fine.

I recently changed my spark plugs, and then changed my belt and both idler pulleys to try to get rid of the wine i was getting. My '09 ran just fine for a couple of days. now it wont even turn over. the battery is fine and everything electrical turns on and works but when i try to start the truck it just clicks and my gauge needles start twitching. i think it may be the starter but i was just wondering if i should check anything else before i change the starter?

Can you give us a little more info? Year (09?) engine size, etc? Fill out your signature in the user Cp link at the top left with that info. It helps people diagnose them problem faster.

How do you know your battery is fine? Have you had it tested? Have you checked all your fuses? Have you put the battery on a maintainer to see if that works?

I would tap on the starter. If that works then yes it's bad

This may be useless, but try moving it out of park and then back into park. No idea how or why but the same thing happened to me a while back - I called for a tow and the operator did that and it worked. He said it wasn't engaged in park 100%. Just something to try if you haven't already. Otherwise I'm no help, sorry. Hope you get it figured out!

Define "battery is fine". I have seen batteries that I thought were " fine " cause the exact same symptoms you describe ( even hooked up to a charger/ starter ).
Have your battery tested before chasing other demons. Just my .02.

This. Also check your connections to battery.

Updated my profile with my truck info. I'm away from home right now so I can't do anything for about a week. But when I get back I will have the battery checked out. The battery connections are in good condition. Assuming the battery is not the problem. Would the next step be to replace the starter or is there anything else I should check out before that? Thanks for the info so far.

The continuous clicking noise you describe has always been battery related in my experience.
