Default Is my truck smiling or does it have an underbite LOL

Just noticed this today, seems quite similar to the 'smile' some of these late-models have, or is it an underbite?

Don't know whether to take it in for this or could they end up making it worse?

To me that looks wrong. You should be able to see the grille a little space then the trim piece. I would have them look at that one..

I remember seeing something maybe a year ago about someone that fixed a smiling bumper. I can't seem to find it on my smart phone right now using the search!

At the dealer here locally the body shop and the mechanics are crosstown from each other. it makes it a PIA to get anything done bodywise through service.

I think I'll just stop by the body shop and have them take a quick walk out and look. see what they think about getting it fixed before I go to service with it, as they can't start any kind of warranty work tickets themselves.

Just makes me all queasy thinking about someone else messing with the truck of course!

I do know the hood stops are adjusted correctly because the shut lines are all even around the fenders and over the headlights. Pretty sure it's not the grille either.

I found a small thread from 2011 but some of the pictures are missing of course at this point.

All the trucks I've seen are like that including mine, someone told me it's an easy adjustment and they do it all the time at their dealer. Haven't got around to doing mine yet as it does not really bother me.

Here's a pic of my 2014 (adjusted for brightness/contrast so you can see it better) ...

my bumper has a TINY bit of "smile" ... but the gap between the bumper and the front body panel that runs under the headlights/grill is perfect. If anything, there's a slight downward "bow" to the bottom of the grill surround that makes it look like the bumper flexes up in the middle.

Long story short, it looks like mine is "as designed", no issues here.

underbite. you need to adjust where it connects to your bumper.
