Not sure what the laws are other places but wheels like that are illegal where i live. I think 2 inch past the fender is the limit. So if the OP drove through my town and a cop saw him the cop would make sure to let him know how "free" of a country it is by telling him he cant have his wheels that way.

Surprised I haven't gotten nailed with my -12s. The states are the ball busters. Usually when they nail you for wheels they check to see if you require debris flaps(mud flaps) as well.

Florida doesn't mess with you at all. And I'll be getting fiberglass or raptor fenders shortly. Still working on something for the gap just not sure yet
