Default My poor neglected 12th gen.

Pretty much stock 13 FX4 with 6.55 ft bed. Love the truck for the safety ratings and look. Performance is kinda blah, even before the tires. Torque sucks, revs too high, but it works for the family and hauling small loads.

Put a programmer on it and unlock some of the hidden potential.

What size tires? I have the coyote and don't have a problem with the size I'm running.

It towed awful with 275 -70- 18's on it with 3.73 gears. Not really worried about it anymore, just added tires (35 x12.5 MTRs) for looks and hunting. Will use the old trusty 5.4 for any towing.

I went from a 300 6 cyl on 33s to my 5.0 with 3.55s. I feel like I'm in a racecar.

Put some 4.56 gears in it and watch it go! I did that to my 05 and it's a whole different machine.

Its my 4th truck. Not doing anything else other than a winch and maybe exhaust. Trying to keep this one family friendly with all the cargo space for two kids and a wife. Probably won't use it to tow anymore, just some loads in the bed.

Other trucks are just toys
Black 03 with 4 times the power
White 03 with 4.56's
01 Lightning stock.

Unless you do gears like perry mentioned you're not doing that 5.0 any good. I also have 3.73's I'm getting bad mileage but it's winter. Warmer weather gets me 15mpg in the city. 23 on the highway not towing.

Are you running the correct speedo info? Maybe you need to calibrate.
