I have lived in the northern Virginia area for 13 years, I'm actually shocked that this is the first accident. Drivers around here are nuts.

I think that's everywhere though. I lived in mass my whole life up until 3 months ago. And everyone out there is always proud of how aggressive they are, driving. Here in WI/MN its about the same I've found. I've actually found people use their turn signals less out here, haha!

$1800 in repairs. That's replacing the whole grill, bumper, lower valance, tow hook, bumper pads, license plate bracket, and the little bracket on the passenger side in the big opening that has a hole. It's where most people mount their LED lights.

That obviously includes prep and paint.

Thought it was going to be more and they would try to fix bumper.

Funny, at the shop I noticed my bumper has a frowny face as both sides are pointed downward slightly.

Nope, it's better than I thought. Lol

Hopefully they do a good Job. It collision pros, I've used them in the past and they have done well. I figure it shouldn't be to hard of a job especially as there is no blending. Hopefully the paint on the new bumper will match the rest.

Quick question, how long should I let the paint cure before applying 3m bra?

UJ can be a pain in the *** to match, depending on what manufacturer they use. At my last shop in mass we used PPG envirobase (waterbase) and it was easy to match. Its what is on your radio bezel My current shop, uses standox solvent born, and it is kind of a pain if you're not blending. But not too bad.

I would wait as long as possible. Probably go by the 30 day wax rule. Too soon and you will trap solvents, and thru will actually push the paint off, and it will delam.

All a flashing turn signal means to me is that the lightbulb is working. I don't trust other drivers enough to trust their signals. They are just so many idiots on the road.

A turn signal means absolutely nothing, never has never will. At most it is just a courtesy that the driver may change direction if they desire.

Over 40 years ago this was taught to us in drivers ed., and I live by that to this day.

Practice "defensive driving" and never trust the other driver.

Bet those tow hooks put some pretty good gouges in her side.
