Default My New Ride

Traded in my 04 XLT today for this 11 FX4 and I love it. I plan on plastidipping the wheels and emblems, tinting windows, and adding smoked headlights/tail lights. The only question I have is that the exhaust seems really loud. Is this factory or did the previous owner modify it? It doesn't sound like it's a leak.

If you dont have a small refrigerator as a muffler then yes it has been changed and reason for it being so loud. Nice truck

Good looking truck. Congrats. You should love it over your 04. Better power and mpg.

Stock 5.0s are pretty loud sounding from the cab! I wouldn't plastidip those wheels though, they look awesome as is!!

The tailpipe looks stock, but that doesn't mean the previous owner didn't do a muffler swap or delete. Look under your truck under the cab, and you should see a huge muffler like 36" long as well as a small resonator before the muffler. That's the stock setup. Chances are, your system is modified because these trucks are very quiet stock.

Yeah its only about 18 inches long without a resonator. I like it but the wife doesn't haha.
